Greater complexity outside requires greater clarity inside. Effective leadership isn’t about just checking off more tasks. It’s defined by how well we use our minds and interact with others. We need flexibility and clear purpose in the face of complexity. We need balance, insight, and the ability to inspire others.

We help professionals at all levels develop the leadership and emotional intelligence skills needed to sustain peak performance, collaborate successfully and be compassionate, effective leaders.
Search Inside Yourself is now approved by the International Coaching Federation. Coaches receive 12.33 Continuing Coaching Education credits when attending SIY! Find more information here.

Emotional Intelligence

Workplace studies prove that emotional competencies enhance performance, leadership effectiveness, and wellbeing.

Neuroscience shows that attention is the fundamental energy of the mind. How we direct our attention determines the mental habits we form, the emotions we develop, and the results we experience.

Research shows that mindfulness is a foundational skill that underpins the inner factors of growth: self-awareness, self-management, and emotional skills.

  • “The Search Inside Yourself course transforms people. In this book, Meng shows that knowing yourself lies at the core of emotional intelligence. This account of testing a mindfulness based emotional intelligence curriculum at Google is highly enjoyable.”

  • “This is more than a book, it is a pathway, with specific exercises and guidance that are profoundly transformative and freeing. Mindfulness Based emotional intelligence is about discovering the full spectrum of who you already are as a person.”

  • “This book and the course it’s based on represent one of the greatest aspects of Google’s culture — that one individual with a great idea can really change the world.”

  • “As human beings we are capable of positive change. Google engineer, Chade-Meng Tan’s book, Search Inside Yourself, creatively blending the ancient meditative practice of mindfulness with the contemporary field of emotional intelligence, shows that to avoid certain kinds of results, you need to change the conditions that give rise to them. If you change the habitual patterns of your mind you can change their resulting attitudes and emotions and find peace and inner happiness.”

  • “Combining timeless wisdom with modern science, Chade-Meng Tan has created an entertaining and practical guide to success and happiness.”
