That is how Google ex-CEO Eric Schmidt starts off talking about his coaching experience. He continues,
“I was thinking, now that I have made it as the CEO of a company like Google, what could a coach possibly give me? However, after having experienced coaching, I think it was the best thing that ever happened to me throughout my career. Because No matter how intelligent you believe you are, the only thing you are incapable of is looking at yourself from the outside.”
“Coaching Services” are the second fastest growing sector in the world (after information technologies), especially in developed countries. According to an international study, 79% of medium and large businesses in the United Kingdom reported using coaching. In the US, in a sample of 101 companies using coaching, 58% of the companies were small or medium sized, government agencies and non-profits (Auerbach, 2005). Coaching utilization is increasing because it is a cost effective means of achieving phenomenal results for teams and businesses.
Organizations are asking can we afford not to use coaches?

A professional coaching relationship: A professional coaching relationship exists when coaching includes a business agreement or contract that defines the responsibilities of each party.”
Coaching is a planned development relationship that is established between the coach and the coachee in order to achieve the desired performance and satisfaction from life. The objective of the coaching relationship is for the coachees to reach the goal they have set with the support of the coach and to learn to overcome any issues/problems on their own.
